betasuppe, the game:

  http://mjaupanda.com/games/betasuppe/

a game of truly epic proportions, with a storyline to rival that of the
greatest works of all time ever!

  made for the tigsource.com b-game compo august/september 2007

this is the original version as submitted for the compo, except that there
is now some more or less vague hints further down in this very readme. feel
free to check them out if you happen to get stuck, or if you are weird and
just like reading that kind of stuff anyway.

  if colin dies, type undo.

playing:

  1. type stuff!
  2. hit enter.
  3. something might happen!

you can attempt the following: to acquire things and wear things you have,
eyeball things, devour and quaff things, assassinate things, amble to things
and utilize them and also go portwards and starboardwards, and some other
things too. you can also undo one command, which may be nice when you die.
oh, and there is a quicksave/quickload system too for some reason. it is
possible to win, even. if you get a "you win" message, this has already
  happened!

some valid sentences include stuff like "please amble over to the sun?",
"assassinate ye heavens, i say!", and "promenade starboardwards perhaps".

also f11 toggles fullscreen and esc exits the game instantly

vague hint:

if you are stuck, try having colin look at things and consider what
implications the descriptions might have and how your eventual success
may or may not depend on these facts! also, if colin has problems
understanding what you mean (his brain is kind of small), try saying what
you want him to do in a different way.

somewhat less vague hint:

did you manage to pick something up yet? yes? that is truly great, and
you should feel proud of yourself. give yourself a little pat on the back.
furthermore, this means that colin now has that particular something in his
inventory! however, this does not mean that he is making any use of that
  something yet. he probably should!

maybe even less vague hint:

after the brightness has been conquered, it sure would be nice with
something for colin to float on!
